What is not possible / not adequately addressed at present?

Need to Identify existing disturbed areas or cleared areas suitable for heliports, camps, and landing or drop zones in forested terrain. Need to identify suitable sites that minimise risks to crews, reduce environmental impact and adhere to helicopter safety standards.

What effect does this challenge have on operations?

Information is required to identify potential helipad locations on hill tops to minimize areas to be cleared and long-line and landing hazards. Safe approach must be possible. Camps should be established in areas that minimize exposure to hazards.
