Challenge Description

What is not possible / not adequately addressed at present?

Knowing topography and terrain restrictions is important, particularly in man-portable operations. Cliffs, ravines and areas greater then 40% grade all pose access issues in seismic operations.

What effect does this challenge have on operations?

Moving people and equipment around areas that are too steep for human travel can have a considerable effect on survey time and personnel safety.

Would be beneficial to have a cost-effective and better resolution option to the freely available 90m resolution SRTM data which is not effective in areas with tree cover.
