Space synergies were also a topic of discussion at the Copernicus Horizon 2035 conference, where EUSPA Executive Director Rodrigo da Costa outlined how Copernicus complements other components of the EU Space Programme, including Galileo and EGNOS. For example, construction companies can use EGNSS, together with Earth Observation, to first select locations with the best conditions and then monitor the building or infrastructure asset over its entire lifespan.
Think EUR 200 billion is a lot? In the next 10 years that same downstream market is forecasted to reach nearly half a trillion euros – making space a very lucrative investment opportunity.
EUSPA Head of Market Development Fiammetta Diani joined EOcafe to discuss how the future of Copernicus is in women’s hands. The event was part of the Women in Copernicus project, which promotes an inclusive and gender-balanced education and working environment in Copernicus. You can read more about the topic here.
Space Crossroads is where space and great ideas meet. Hosted by EUSPA, this online event brings together businesses, thought leaders, start-ups, policy makers, entrepreneurs and investors to discuss the many benefits of the EU Space Programme.
