Demonstration that the mine site has been rehabilitated and returned to an agreed endpoint is fundamental to achieving a successful mine closure and achievement of a mine closure certificate from regulatory authorities.  Mine operator must be able to demonstrate that the mine site is stable from a geotechnical perspective (no risk of collapse).
